60th Anniversary Second Line
My brother and I put together a 60th anniversary party for our mom and dad. I was told to keep it simple, no bands, no speeches, nothing over the top. Hmmmmmm...... The Wednesday before I left for Baton Rouge, I knew I had to have a Brass Band parading through the event for a bit of Joie De Vivre! I chose The 10th Street Brass Band because they were good musicians, stayed in communication with me, available for the party and offered a 3-piece band. The 10th Street Brass Band did not disappoint me nor the party goers! They came parading in playing "When The Saints Go Marching In" and surprised the entire party.... Shortly, everyone put their cake down, grabbed their napkins and started following the band in a Second Line!! My mom stood with her mouth open, my dad grinned big, I grabbed them and away we went! I would hire Andy and the 10th Street Brass Band again! Thank y'all for a joyful Second Line and fun music!! Y'all were the icing on the cake!!!
