My company worked with Knockaz Brass Band for a second line parade for our team retreat while in New Orleans and I cannot recommend them enough! They were delightful to work with leading up to and during the event itself. If I'm ever back there again and have the opportunity to plan a similar festive event, I will absolutely seek them out. We loved the music and the parade was expertly coordinated. Several colleagues came up to me after to explain how meaningful the parade was for them and how much they enjoyed the music. My new boss even hugged me!

the band showed up on time and played in the 30min schedule that was paid for. We were not able to get a picture with them playing the happy birthday song or video so I asked them if they wouldn't mind playing the song one more time and they did with no hesitation. They provided a great atmosphere outside for our daughters 10th car parade party and did it all smiling and sweeting in the 100° heat. Would book again if needed.

Herman and his crew were amazing. I pulled off a surprise engagement at City Park, and they were with me every step of the way (pun intended.) Herman was easy to communicate with, and he worked with me to design a great plan. This is all said before mentioning their sound. They were great musicians. they drew in a big crowd and still managed to march to the side and make for an more intimate proposal moment. Classy, fun uniforms and they sounded awesome. Knockaz was AMAZING for our wedding second line! They sounded fabulous and the wedding guests were beyond thrilled to experience a traditional second line. You won’t regret booking this fabulous second line band!

Mr Williams troupe was on time, sharply dressed and fun. They sounded great.

He was responsive to questions, easy to coordinate with. We booked him for my sisters birthday. He met us in the French Quarter and performed on the sidewalk because we didn’t have enough time to get a parading permit with the police.

The band played traditional Dixieland jazz, which is what we wanted, with a tight and grooving horn section and drums. The whole troupe sounded great, and we couldn’t have been more pleased. My sister was astonished and delighted. Sidewalk walkers stopped to watch and cheer which added to the fun.

We hired them to close out a national conference at a prominant NOLA hotel. I would give 10 stars if I could. They were exceptionally easy to work with, very prompt with responses and looked and sounded exactly what a New Orleans Jazz Second Line group should. Our attendees loved them.

We hired KnockAz Brass Band as a surprise second line send off for our New Orleans wedding. I had heard them at my cousin's wedding a few months earlier and knew that they were awesome! To this day, my guests (most of whom were from out of town), talk about our send-off. They said it was the BEST conclusion to a wedding that they had ever experienced...SO MUCH ENERGY and FUN! I booked Knockaz for my daughters' debutante party. The band showed up early, in uniform and ready to play. I had a slight delay in my program and they were able to push back their start time to help us out! They had EVERYONE on the dance floor. I was having such a good time that I really didn't pay attention or worry about the flow and if people were dancing. They were that good! Later, when I looked at the photos and video I was amazed to see the sea of people on the dance floor. They kept everyone in the groove and really looked like they were having FUN playing. I am so glad I booked this group. They are already on my list for the next event!

Knockaz band has a great sound, they showed up on time and played for about 25 minutes. Eventhough they sounded great they didn't really connect with their audience. They also stopped playing about 5 minutes before their time ended and started walking to their cars. My intentions were to tip them for coming out and closing our event but I didn't get a chance. Overall great band, just not the best performance in my opinion and I'm from New Orleans so I KNOW the culture.

I’ve seen many second line bands in New Orleans through out the French Quarter, so when we decided to choose the Knockaz for our wedding parade, I thought I had an idea what to expect. Wrong. They did 1000 times what I expected! I was blown away and so was everyone in our party. It will forever be the highlight of my wedding and I will forever cherish dancing in the streets to the energy they brought. Not to mention they are extremely on top of all the planning, very professional, and a joy to work with. My guest were blown away as was I. Cheers to the Knockaz!

So happy we decided to book Knockaz Brass Band for our wedding. They played for the last 25-30 mins and it just really ended our wedding with a bang! Everyone loved it. Herman and the band were great to work with! They were amazing with answering all my questions and orchestrating an amazing surprise for my fiance that included surprising him with beads I got him and a second line. The band members were all professionally dressed in a cohesive uniform and even accommodated an earlier start time that was only asked of them an hour before.

I would definitely hire them again and recommend them to anyone who needs a band in New Orleans. Not only did my fiance and his bachelor party get to enjoy the music but the people all around him got to enjoy it as well!

Herman, the band manager, was wonderful to work with leading up to the event. We are not locals, and he was very helpful at the beginning - explaining what to expect during the second line, and then toward the end, even got the route changed by our request. We also hired them to play a jazz set afterwards (including our requested first dance) during cocktails, and I wish we’d contracted them for longer. Glad we added the grand Marshall too for the second line - he was great! Wonderful musicians and classy.

My wife and I aren't originally from the city but after living here for a few years we knew it was the perfect place for our wedding. We brought in friends, family and some people I hadn't seen in years to experience the city and our all our wedding festivities. Despite our amazing food, a breath taking ceremony at St. Louis cathedral and everything else this city has to offer, all they talk about was that 2nd line from the Knockaz Brass Band ~ truly the highlight of the weekend. They did a wonderful job, were on time and absolutely rocked it. Great job!

We had Bourbon Street basically shut down for 30 minutes for our own bachelorette party parade with a killer Second Line and Grand Marshall that was second to none. Seriously these guys are the best. What more is there to say other than simply epic.

I hired Knockaz Brass Band to surprise my husband for his 50th birthday in New Orleans and they were absolutely spectacular! From surprising my husband at a bar to our walk through the French Quarter to wrapping it up with Happy Birthday at our dinner reservation everything was perfect! Our guests had a blast and it was definitely the highlight of the trip. Being from out of town, I purchased the planning package which made everything extremely easy which is just what I needed. The Knockaz band was fantastic. They were so professional from the very beginning. They were extremely responsive as soon as I reached out to them from GigSalad, which was the first reason I selected them for our event. They continued to be responsive and helpful throughout the entire planning process. My sorority sisters and I were planning a 25th anniversary reunion, and we wanted to have a second line band to make the event exciting and special. Most of us had not experienced a 2nd line before. They handled all of the details, they sounded fantastic, and we all had an amazing time, as did all the people in the streets of New Orleans who joined in the parade! Booked this band last minute for a themed photoshoot and video they did an amazing job with everything. Very professional and made evey minute count and our event was outside and it rained but they did not let that stop them from playing and making our shoot a success. I would recommend them if you are considering booking for a event.

I hired the band to greet a bus charter traveling from St. Louis to New Orleans. On the way to New Orleans we have to travel through an unexpected bad weather that delayed our arrival by 90 minutes. The band was gracious enough to stay later for us. I’m extremely greatful to them for working with us. The passengers on the bus was surprised to be greeted by the band. Herman stayed in contact with us every step of the way! We had a destination wedding at The Bourbon Orleans Hotel over the New Year's Eve weekend. Herman managed the parade and route planning and scheduling with the city. We are from Boston and New York and had little idea how best to throw a brass band parade, but these guys handled it all! The Knockaz guys showed up over a half hour early for the wedding knowing that the rain will set us on a different pace then expected. They gave our guests an amazing show and have become the best memory of our nye weekend in nola. Bc of the rain Knockaz led the party back into the reception Cottage and played our first dance song "hey baby" for everyone to enjoy out of the rain!

First off I have to say WOW. From the time this band arrived (On time)..to the destination point, this group of fine musicians showed completely out. They took 2min to tune up and then...MAGIC happened. I knew we would have a great time but this was wayyy beyond our expectations.
