Spring Show Recap

[HOT SHEET, May 15, 2018] Our 2018 Spring Show took place on Saturday, May 12 at the Cary Arts Center. The General Assembly Chorus opened the show, augmented by a dozen or so members of the NC Harmony Brigade.

After the chorus presented a set of a half-dozen numbers from the Harmony Brigade repertoire, the headliner quartets, Pratt Street Power and the Ladies, presented a variety of quartet, mixed quartet, and 8-voice ensemble numbers, featuring both barbershop and jazz harmonies.

The evening performance was emceed once again by local favorite Greg Fishel, who regaled the audience with his usual array of dreadful puns (leaving certain chorus members and newsletter editors deeply envious.)

Director Larry Triplett commented, “… it was the most consistent quality singing we've done in many years. And while it was nice to have the additional 8-11 voices, it was the 24-28 regulars who have shown dedication and commitment to better singing week after week that made this such a success.”
